On-Demand Audio/Video Samples
Streaming video/audio is much like a radio or television
broadcast. Programs can be live or recorded, but the show starts at a
scheduled time, and continues from beginning to end. Everyone sees or
hears the same show, at the same time.
On-Demand video/audio is more like a VCR. Programs are
always pre-recorded, users can choose the program they want to watch
or listen to, they and can start, stop, and rerun the program at will.
To
view or listen to on-demand or streaming audio/video, you need to have
a "media player" program loaded on your computer. Most operating
systems like Windows come with a player already installed. If you
click on one of the samples listed below and nothing happens, your
computer may not have a media player installed. If that's the case,
download Windows Media Player from Microsoft.com or Real Player from
Real.com.
